San Antonio, Texas 1767 – Museum Series
$35.00
The first detailed plan to show the capital of Spanish Texas was this colored manuscript survey prepared by Lt. Joseph de Urrutia. The church separated the military and civic plazas where most of the town’s buildings could be found. On either side one can see the irrigated farm fields along the west bank of the San Antonio River. de Urrutia prepared a similar survey of Santa Fe, New Mexico. The originals of both are in The British Library.
The museum quality edition of this plan is printed on a heavy paper to highlight its delicate coloring.
Size: 14 x 17 3/4 inches. Color, Cover-stock Paper
