Stedman Whitwell prepared this fanciful sketch of Robert Owen’s proposed ideal city in Indiana to attract settlers from England. It was based on Owen’s theories for a model society that he hoped to create in the United States.

The museum quality edition of this view is printed on a heavy paper and in a large size to highlight its lines and shading.
