Quebec 1844 – Collectors Series

$42.50

The City of Quebec sat for its portrait by many artists, but none is more handsome than this strongly colored panorama taken from the south bank of the St. Lawrence River. Beyond the profusion of steamboats, sailing ships, small craft, and rafts the city rises dramatically above the crowded Lower Town to punctuate the skyline with spires and signal masts. This striking lithograph, reproduced from an impression in the Public Archives of Canada, was first published in London from a drawing by Captain B. Beaufoy.

The museum quality edition of this view is printed on a heavy, cover stock paper to highlight its lines and coloring.

Size: 14 1/2 x 19 inches. Color, Cover-stock Paper
