Historic Urban Plans

This plan is identical in character to the 1758 plans of Montreal and Louisburg from “The Natural and Civil History of the French Dominions in North and South America” by Thomas Jeffreys. A beautifully engraved drawing, it shows the former capital of French Canada after its capture by the English. For the sake of comparison, the area included is approximately the same as on 1758 plan by Edward Oakley.
