Boston 1769

Categorized in

The copper plate engraved for the 1722 plan of Boston came into the possession of William Price. From time to time he revised the plate to record additions or changes in the city and published the results with the appropriate date added to the title. This is the last edition┬áto appear. The two plans thus provide unique and valuable documentation of Boston’s expansion from early in the nineteenth century to the eve of the Revolutionary War. This version is reduced in size from the original and printed in color.
